2019 – 2020

I made this series of works in response to superstitious beliefs about black cats. Cats were glorified and respected in some cultures, however, black cats specifically were associated with superstitions of bad luck, witches, and death in other cultures. Although we live in the 21st century, opinions are divided – some people love them, while others still believe that black cats bring bad luck.
