Wishing to get a better understanding of the surroundings in which I found myself during the Erasmus student exchange in Sofia, Bulgaria, I discovered Bulgarian culture, as well as the similarities and differences between Bulgarian and Croatian heritage. The piece “Forest of understanding (Forest)” is actually a sketch for a mural. Through this piece, I tried to process the topic of (mis)understanding the language, as well as the cultural patterns and traditions that differ in Croatia and Bulgaria.
